The project
I'm a photographer in Fujiyoshida, and most mornings I walk to the end of Honcho — the old shopping street with the mountain standing at the far end — and take one photo to answer the same question: is Fuji visible today? A lot of the time the honest answer is no, which is more or less what living at the foot of it feels like, and I post the grey sky anyway. The shirt is that question, printed in a small made-to-order run by the person who keeps the record — not a souvenir rack's idea of a mountain.
